Robinson's Magnolia indeed has a lot to offer. I myself have been there a numerous times, and tried some restaurants, but my list isn't even halfway. I was glad to be invited by Robinson's Residences to try out some of the food picks this mall has to offer. The food tour was led by RJ Ledesma and Anton Diaz, the people behind Mercato Centrale Group and Our Awesome Planet.
Here are a few of the places we have visited:
1. Villa del Conte (closed)
Located at the upper ground floor, Villa del Conte offers authentic Italian chocolates from Pavlova, Italy. We were able to sample Praline Sticks in Milk Chocolate with Watermelon Cream Filling and Praline Balls in Dark Chocolate with Hazelnut Cream Filling. Both were so good the samples ran out quickly. :)
2. The Clubhouse
Having tried this place a few months ago, I was ecstatic that The Clubhouse is part of the tour.
The Clubhouse calls their fare modern comfort food, like the ones we had that evening.
Tuyo Rice Bowl |
Vigan Longganisa Hash |
Hungarian Sausage and Eggs |
Truffle Mushroom Scramble |
Featured dishes were Tuyo Rice Bowl, Vigan Longganisa Hash, Hungarian Sausage and Eggs, and Truffle Mushroom Scramble. Ever a fanatic of truffle flavor, I really loved the Truffle Mushroom Scramble the most.
The Clubhouse Salad |
We also had Bread and Jam and The Clubhouse Salad. :)
3. Gaucho Cocina y Vinos Argentinos (closed)
Probably the highlight of the tour, Gaucho is less than a year-old restaurant that offers authentic Argentinian food.
The main attraction of the two-story classy resto is the glass-encased fire pit where the food we had was roasted for 5 to 7 hours beforehand.
El Pozo del Fuego |
We were served Cordero Entero a la Cruz (Australian raised young lamb), Cochino a la Cruz (native free-range suckling pig), and Falda a la Cruz (US beef short plate).

Falda a la Cruz |
We were also served Finca Flichman Malbec Wine. Malbec wines are one of the main products of Argentina. I loved the food and the ambiance that I would definitely go back here soon. :P
4. Magnolia Flavor House (closed)
The final stop of the food tour is the Magnolia Flavor House. We were served with so much ice cream creations that I didn't bother to list down the names, and I just dug right in!
I could stay in Magnolia Flavor House forever!!! :)
