I brought my college friends for a reunion lunch at The Podium, and because we only have limited time to do so, I suggested that we eat somewhere familiar: Cafe de Bonifacio.
It's been a long time since I last dined at Cafe de Bonifacio so I was really excited to finally eat there again.
While waiting for our food, we enjoyed the free appetizer, Kropek with Pesto along with our coolers: Ripe Mango Shake, Cucumber and Lemon Cooler, and Watermelon Shake (Php 75).

For starters, I requested for my favorite, the Lumpiang Hubad in Pastry Cups (Php 135).

I was glad that my friends liked it as much as I did. Never miss this when you go to Cafe de Bonifacio.
For main dishes, we ordered The Best Kare Kare with Bagoong (Php 365) and Sizzling Crispy Sisig (Php 195) with Tuyo Fried Rice (Php 135).
The Best Kare Kare with Bagoong |
Generously served with very tender ox tripe and ox brisket, I must admit that Cafe de Bonifacio knows what good Kare-Kare means. I'll have this over and over. :)
Sizzling Crispy Sisig |
Hands down to The Sizzling Crispy Sisig as well. They actually have two versions of Sisig, and we chose the crispy one. No regrets though.
Tuyo Fried Rice |
Both dishes are best partnered with Tuyo Fried Rice, which is good for 3 persons.
For dessert, we shared another favorite of mine, the Turon de Gregoria (Php 150).

Served with a scoop of macapuno ice cream, it is best eaten with your hands, seriously.
Oh, we got a free scoop of macapuno ice cream too. Lovely.
I was happy that the delicious dishes of Cafe de Bonifacio is still as better as I first tried it years ago. Still, reasonably-priced, my friends and I were impressed with the food and service. I would love to dine here again.
