My 1000-Peso Challenge at the Lunti Eco Products Fair Year 2

Last year, I started to get involved with an environmental awareness club called Lunti. I have posted some of our activities in this blog to help people realize the value of helping our environment and local communities by supporting their products.

We recently had the Lunti Eco Products Fair Year 2, where we showcase eco-friendly local products. Aside from the other vendors who joined for the second time, we also welcomed new vendors to our event.

For this year, I tried to work on a budget: Php 1000 and see what I could buy without exceeding it.

Let's see what I managed to buy:

1. Wallets and cellphone holder from Collide

Cellphone holder
Upcycled Wallets

Collide is a new collaboration of artists who upcycle materials and create it into a new products, like these wallets (Php 60 + Php 40) and the cellphone holder (Php 150). Collide also sells accessories and other things you can use or display at home.

2. Monkey Bars from Muesli-Granola Bakeshop

The Monkey Bar by Muesli Granola

Our vendor from last year, The Cereal Bar by Muesli-Granola offers preservative-free energy bars. They also have beautiful packaging which is ideal for giveaways. They are Morning Mercato during weekends. I got 5 pcs Monkey Bars (Php 185), which my baby brother really loves. I got it at Php 5 less if I wouldn't use plastic container.

I had a little chitchat with Ms. Celia, the owner of Muesli-Granola, and she gave me these Dark Chocolate dipped Crispy Creme Nut. She used pure Belgian chocolate for the dip, delicious and healthy!

3. Sleepyhead All-in-One Spray from Indigo Baby

Sleepyhead by Indigo Baby

Indigo Baby is the brainchild of two moms who want safe and all-natural baby products for their children. But I bought to Sleepyhead Spray (Php 200) for myself. It's a pillow and linen spray to help you relax while you sleep.

4. Bracelet from Ya'Lin Handmade Accessories

Ya'Lin sells handmade accessories made from colored magazines. I got my sister a cute bracelet (Php 100), which she really liked. Other items available are necklaces and rings.

5. Unsweetened Cacao Tablets from Ritual Shop

Unsweetened Cacao Tablea

Ritual Shop is a sustainable eco-friendly shop that supports local producers. They also use glasses and bottles for containers and not plastics. Customers may come to their shops for refills as they sell some items by the gram, like their all-natural soaps. The tablea (Php 200) I got it in a neat glass container, I'll be cooking some hot tablea at home soon.

Other vendors who participated are Human Nature, Luntian Bags (where I bought my Christmas giveaways last year), and Kamay Krafts, Recreate Philippines.

The total amount of my purchases is Php 930, and my challenge is a success!
