After our Japanese buffet lunch at Kitsho, my friend Lovelee and I roamed Malate to look for a dessert place, but since we both weren't familiar with the place, we ended up going to Robinson's Place Midtown. We found a teppanyaki ice cream stall called Yoshi's.
Teppanyaki is originally a Japanese cooking style on an iron griddle to mix different ingredients. For ice cream, they use a cold iron griddle. I had my first teppanyaki ice cream at HEAT, EDSA Shangri-la Hotel, and I was quite amazed at how doing teppanyaki-style on ice cream makes it a lot better.
Yoshi's uses homemade ice cream for its teppanyaki and milkshake. They also have coffee drinks. Their ice cream can also be served on Belgian cones.
My friend and I ordered Premium Teppanyaki Concoctions: mine is White Cheesecake (Php 140) while hers is Oh My Oreo (Php 140).
White Cheesecake has vanilla ice cream, marshmallows, graham crackers, and a cheese cupcake.

Oh My Oreo has cookies and cream ice cream and Oreos topped with sprinkles and chocolate syrup.

The teppanyaki was really good! Also, I really find the messages from each cup very witty. :)

Aside from Premium Teppanyaki, Yoshi's also have Classics like Choco Overload and Banana Split and Spiked Concoctions like Irish Cream Pie for adults.
Yoshi's is an affordable yet amazing treat for ice cream lovers (like myself). I'd love to try the other flavors when I visit the area again.

ReplyDeleteI hope you'll do, Marge! :)
DeleteI haven't seen anything like this before. I never thought that the graham and the cupcake is going to be manually crushed. The preparation must be really fascinating to watch.
