8 Spices Thai Cuisine

Note: This restaurant is already closed.

A good friend from Malaysia went to Manila for work. We haven't seen each other for a long time so we had lunch to catch up. Since we both love Thai food, we tried the nearest Thai resto in the office: 8 Spice Thai Cuisine.

The resto has a very pleasing environment. Honestly, I didn't want to visit this place back then because I thought the prices in this resto are astronomical.

My default order in any Thai resto, we had the Phad Thai with Shrimp or Phad Thai Goong Sod (Php 285, with egg).

Phad Thai with Shrimp

I could just eat Phad Thai and ignore the rest of the dishes. I prefer it to not be spicy, which is the usual. I just love it. :)

We also had Chicken with Cashew Nuts or Gkai Phad Med Ma Muang (Php 330).

This dish is one of their specialties. We had this spicy, which was tolerable for me. It has mixed vegetables like bell peppers, onion, and lots of cashew nuts. I liked this dish and I'd order this again.

We ordered Seafood Fried Rice in Basil Sauce or Khao Phad Grapao Thalay (Php 195 for single, Php 300 for platter).

We also requested this in spicy, but the rice almost blew my top off. This dish has squid and shrimp on top, it was really good. But I'd finish this if they tamed down the spiciness.

I was glad I finally ticked this resto off my list. I recommend that you visit this in groups since the servings are good for sharing. I'd love to visit this and try the desserts next time.
