More Than Just Milk Tea: Happy Lemon

After our dinner at Yabu, my friends started dragging me to Happy Lemon. I only agreed to try it as long as it's not milk tea. (And because it's my friend's treat. Happy Lemon originated in Hong Kong and Chris Tiu (with his business partners) brought the franchise here in the Philippines.

The place reminds me of a playroom with colorful designs and cute characters on the walls. The menu is displayed on the screens, but the display changes every few minutes that I just grabbed a brochure at the counter instead.

I got a large Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese (Php 100) while my friends got a large Green Tea with Rock Salt and Cheese (Php 90) and a regular Yakult Green Tea (Php 75).

I was about to get a straw but I was told that it's best to drink it without straw. Damn, I loved it! My friends also thought that I'll love it since I'm a cheesecake addict and that must be exactly why I liked it.

I got so addicted that I went back with my college friends after our lunch at Xin Tian Di. Guess what we got? Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese! One of my friends opted to try one of the newest drinks, a large Royal Milk Tea with Grass Jelly (Php 100).

Happy Lemon also offers other non-milk tea drinks like the Lemon Series, Cocoa & Coffee, Fruit Tea, and Mousse Spin. I'd definitely try the other non-milk tea variants but for now, I'm happy with my Cocoa with Rock Salt and Cheese.

  6. I love Happy Lemon's Green Tea with RSC. Weird 'cause most people I know hate this, but I love it nonetheless. Maybe 'cause I'm a big green tea lover.. XD
