Staycation at Hotel Celeste

My friend Rhoda and I took advantage of the Mitch Albom Philippine Tour to sneak in some vacation without having to leave the metro, so I used the GC I won a few months ago and spent the night at Hotel Celeste in Makati.

Hotel Celeste is an haute couture boutique hotel located in the heart of Makati. It has 30 rooms (25 deluxe and 5 suites) with European-inspired design.

We stayed in a Deluxe Room with breakfast. Our stay includes welcome drinks and a complimentary foot and leg massage.

Our room has a king-size bed, desk, iPod docking station, cable TV, airconditioning, in-room safe, mini-fridge, coffee/tea maker, toiletries (L' Occitane!!!!), shower with rain shower head, daily newspaper, and fast wifi connection.

Amenities include an Open Deck at the top floor, a meeting room, a small cafe at the lobby, and Lucia Ristorante, an authentic Italian restaurant run by the Cravings Group.

Its location is very convenient, we are only a few steps away from the malls like Greenbelt, Glorietta, and Landmark, hence, shopping and eating out is no problem. :)

Our room is beyond simple, it feels like we have been transported to a Parisian apartment. I wished I could just lie in their lovely bed and watch tv all day.

In the morning, we read our newspaper while enjoying their breakfast spread in the lobby.

The breakfast spread has choices of fruits, salad, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, yogurt, bread with spreads, cupcakes, with our personal ala carte breakfast. I asked for an omelette while my friend ordered bacon.

I have always appreciated the beauty of boutique hotels (like Siem Reap's Purple Mangosteen Hotel), and Hotel Celeste is no different. Kudos to the staff for the excellent service (from the receptionist to the masseuse and barista). Should I have a staycation again, I'd definitely go to Hotel Celeste.
