Capitol Commons is becoming one of the popular hang-out spots in the metro, which is the location of newly opened concept restaurants such as Black Olive Cerveceria.
Located beside Tipsy Pig (which I visited months ago), Black Olive Cerveceria specializes in Spanish and Mediterranean dishes alongside imported beers on tap, sangria, and cocktails.
As we wait for our food, we enjoyed a glass of Montrouge Mango Sangria (Php 700 per carafe). A smooth drink with a mild kick, a nice partner to their dishes.
We sampled all the burgers by Black Olive: The Italian Burger (Php 490), Porchetta Sandwich (Php 445), and Chorizo Burger (Php 435). Each burger is served with a side order of thick-cut fries.
|The Italian Burger|
The Italian Burger is US Angus beef patty stuffed with mozzarella, topped with arugula and tomato jam in a ciabatta bun. The taste from the arugula improves the flavor of the tender Angus beef patty.
The Chorizo Burger is chorizo patty with caramelized onions, manchego cheese in pan de sal bun.
The Porchetta Sandwich is porchetta with tomato marmalade, arugula, pecorino, orange marmalade in a ciabatta bun.
I loved how crispy and delicious the porchetta is, that it could stand on its own. Loved it!
We also feasted on their Kebab Wraps with Chicken (Php 330), Pork (Php 330), Beef (Php 390), and Lamb Kofta (Php 430).
I found the beef a little tough, but I loved the chicken and lamb kofta kebab wraps.
We had a nice time at Black Olive Cerveceria. The service was great and the burgers were fabulous. I would love to go back to try their hot and cold tapas, paella, and the churros. :)
Thanks to Toni of Black Olive Cerveceria for having us.
