Banapple is one of those places that I haven't visited for years. I remember being brought here by my boss a few years ago, that we would drive all the way to Katipunan for lunch. Here we are again driving to Banapple for lunch with my workmates, but this time in Greenhills.
Like the other Banapple branches, the Greenhills is branch is also kept small and homey. Some of their cheesecakes are displayed on the counter. We were seated in the alfresco area since the indoor dining area was already full.
For starters, we shared the Super Caesar Salad (Php 140)

The serving was very generous and more than enough for its price. :)
For entrees, we ordered these dishes: my favorite Baked Fish Gratinee with Scalloped Potatoes (Php 200), Breaded Fillet of Cream Dory with Honey Thyme Mustard Sauce (Php 200) and Crisp Pork Scallopini with Sour Cream Barbecue Sauce (Php 195).

All dishes have very generous servings that can be shared by 2 persons. I loved everything about my Baked Fish Gratinee except for the rice, which was a bit dry. My workmates loved the two other dishes as well.
We wouldn't leave Banapple without having desserts! For cheesecakes, we got Dark Chocolate Tiramisu Cheesecake (Php 120) and Cherry Chocolate Truffle Cheesecake (Php 120). We also ordered their Apple Caramel Crumble Pie (Php 110).

Though I'm a fan of New York Cheesecakes, I appreciate a Banapple cheesecake anytime. For incredibly reasonable prices, we enjoyed these rich desserts without leaving a hole in our pockets.
Would I be back soon? Of course! :)

I've only been in Banapple once and never returned again. Not that I had a bad experience, the food was okay, but it just wasn't able to impress me that much to merit a come back.
ReplyDeleteTo each her own, I guess. I honestly haven't tried most of the dishes because I usually get the Baked Fish. :)
DeleteThis is where I brought my mom when she had his birthday last year. My parents got a happy tummy after. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad they liked it! :)
DeleteI only got to try Banapple earlier this year lang! :D The branch at Il Terrazzo and SM North are always packed whenever I pass by. If we didn't go in as early as 10:30AM (in SM North branch) we wouldn't have gotten a seat! Haha! Anyway, love how big their servings are. Super sulit!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it, Sumi! :)
