A Relaxing Day at The Spa

It's Mr. B's birthday!

Spa junkies that we both are, we decided to splurge a little and spend a day at The Spa. :)

Founded in 1996, The Spa is a very popular wellness center with multiple locations around Manila. For our spa sessions, we went to the Shangri-la East Wing branch.

Each location has different rooms / accommodations. The Shangri-la branch has suites/villas, with prices slightly higher than the deluxe or executive rooms (available in other locations).

Our villa is a private room with its own steam/shower room, jacuzzi tub, complete with toiletries (which includes hair gel, lotion, and even a hairdryer). Of course, we were served their signature ginger tea, a drink that Mr. B really enjoyed. :)

We availed the Couple's Retreat package that includes Mind and Body Flow massage, Casmara Facial for the lady, and The Spa Signature Men's Facial.

Before the massage, we were given 30 minutes of wet floor access (steam, shower, jacuzzi). I thought it was quite short, but it was long enough for us to enjoy the jacuzzi and the steam room. :)

Our Mind and Body Flow massage includes pouring of warm rosemary oil into the hair. The 90-minute massage helps with mental clarity and insomnia.

Before the facial, we were given time to shower because we will not be able to wash our faces for a few hours after the facial.

The Casmara Facial helps moisturize and smooths the skin while The Spa Signature Men's Facial keeps the skin purified and renewed.

It was 3 hours of bliss and relaxation. Mr. B and I felt so rejuvenated after our visit to The Spa that we both can't wait to visit this place again.

It's the best spa experience that we've had. The service is excellent and the facilities are impressive. A trip to The Spa is really worth your time and money.

  2. I always have a relaxing time at The Spa. May I ask how much is the Couples Retreat Package? It looks like you were both pampered really well.
