Here's another easy and healthy dish you can do at home. Instead of using tacos, lettuce is a better alternative without sacrificing your need for protein. Like the other dishes, I've featured before, this can get better with more veggies or maybe with more cheese. :)
Ingredients:
romaine lettuce
250-gram lean ground beef
1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
garlic, minced
onion, minced
salt
pepper
rosemary
parmesan cheese
Instructions:
1. Saute garlic and onions.
2. Add the ground beef and rosemary. Add salt and pepper to taste.
3. Add the red bell pepper.
4. Cook the ground beef until brown.
5. Drain the ground beef to remove excess oil.
6. Mix or wrap the beef with the romaine lettuce. Top with parmesan cheese.
You can use other cheese if you want, I only used parmesan cheese for a sharper taste. You can also add sweet corn and tomatoes. :)
Nice one, Michy! Looks good and very easy to prep =)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lovelee! :) Sooo easy to do. :)
DeleteOh my I need to sautee! Maybe I can do this when I get home in Manila.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll like it, Marge! ;)
DeleteAgree on the sweet corn and tomatoes! :)
ReplyDeleteWill add tomatoes and corn next time. :)
DeleteOh you didn't use any taco mix with the beef. I had taco this morning and I think this is a great alternative to the taco shells. Will try soon.
ReplyDeleteI just used herbs instead of taco mix. Tasted good. :)
DeleteThe beef looks good, where do you buy beef?
ReplyDeleteI got it from Monterey. :)
