Where to Stay in Cebu (Part 2): Crown Regency Suites Mactan

During our recent Cebu trip, we decided to spend 2 nights at Cebu City and 2 nights at Lapu-Lapu City. From Fuente Oro Business Suites, we transferred to Crown Regency Suites & Residences Mactan.

To avoid confusion, there are three Crown Regency hotels in Cebu: Crown Regency Hotels and Towers - Cebu (famous for the Sky Adventure), Crown Regency Residences Guadalupe, and Crown Regency Suites & Residences Mactan.

Crown Regency Suites & Residences Mactan is located at Lapu-Lapu City and near the airport. We bought vouchers for a 2-night stay from Metrodeal for Php 2580 a night for a one-bedroom suite.

Here's a little story: when we arrived at the hotel to check-in, we were told by the staff that they'll be transferring us to Crown Regency Towers (in Cebu City) for some unacceptable reasons. My friend and I really thought that they overbooked since it was the Ironman weekend. After an hour of arguing and waiting at the lobby, they gave us our room anyway.

Also, they brought us a basket of fruits as a way of apologizing for the inconvenience.

okay, apology accepted. :)

Our bedroom suite has a kitchen (with a refrigerator, oven toaster, gas stove, microwave oven, etc), air conditioning system, cable TV, bathroom with bathtub and hairdryer, sofa, and broadband internet (sorry, no wifi at the rooms). We were also given stubs for complimentary drinks (which we weren't able to claim).

Our stay also includes a breakfast buffet. The buffet includes a salad bar, cereal station, bread, omelet station (which we loved),  and other breakfast viands.  What a way to start our mornings. :)

The hotel also has a pool, bar, convenience store, and coffee shop. It's a jeepney ride away from Mactan Marina Mall and Gaisano Mactan. They also offer free shuttle rides to the airport, make sure you call in advance for reservations.

Setting the inconvenience aside, I really had a great time during my stay at Crown Regency Suites Mactan. The price was really worth it. However, if you want to save a few more bucks, try booking through Agoda. :)

  3. Lovely hotel. It was a nice gesture they gave you fruits, to make up for the slight inconvenience. We should have stayed here instead, on our last Cebu visit, as they have a bath tub. Well, next time :) Thanks for sharing! :)

  5. The room isn't bad and I kind of appreciate their willingness to apologize (unlike here in the Middle East).

  6. The room looks decent. :)

Btw, I think the fruits are complimentary, and hotels usually serve them as "welcome fruits", not given as gift for the inconvenience ;)
