I met up with a good friend who is currently in the country for a month-long vacation and he gave me a dinner treat to Holy Cow.
Holy Cow is a cowboy-themed American restaurant that serves delicious steaks and other comfort food that we've come to love. It currently has three locations around the metro.

For starters, we ordered Onion Rings 'n Fries (Php 195).

I'm currently addicted to onion rings, and I'm always in love with fries and Holy Cow's serving so overwhelming! Not that I'm complaining! I love the ranch dressing with it too.
For the main dish, my friend got a 10 oz Tenderloin Steak (Php 535) while I got Lonestar Grilled Pork Chop (Php 265).

Both dishes come with a cup of rice, veggies, and gravy and grilled the way you prefer it. I'm quite biased with the words "grilled" and "meat" that's why it's not difficult to fall in love with their dishes, whether it's pork or beef. I was quite surprised at how huge the Tenderloin Steak that if I'm going to finish it myself, I think it would take me forever. But for now, I'm happy with the pork chops. It was tender and well-seasoned.
Holy Cow! is every carnivore's paradise, with its delicious steaks at reasonable prices. I must commend on the service too since the staff was quick to refill our drinks and bring us more gravy (yes, I really love gravy!) I see myself going back and try to do a "Man vs. Food" thing with a huge steak.

Aw, I wasn't satisfied with the food although their serving is generous.
ReplyDeleteOww. That's bad. May I know why?
DeleteIt's been a while since I've last visited Holy Cow.. :D I miss their steaks and pastas.. ^^
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried their pasta. Will try them when I visit again. :)
DeleteI wanted to try the pork chops!
ReplyDeleteYou'll love it, Richie! ;)
DeleteI tried their Galleria branch before. My steak was burnt but I liked their soup... I think it was pumpkin and apple. I don't know if that branch is still open though.
ReplyDeleteThe Galleria branch is already closed. :)
DeleteHaven't dined at Holy Cow yet, so this gives me an idea what we can order there... we are all carnivorous! :)))
ReplyDeleteHi Mom-Friday! This is the perfect place for you! :)
DeleteIt's a long time since I visite holy cow. I loved their steak and pastas.
ReplyDeleteI love their sizzling dishes! :) My boyfriend also enjoyed the food!
ReplyDeleteBack when I was a kid (it's not THAT long ago :P ) The first encounter of steak for me was in this way: in a hot skillet, and then smothered with lots and lots of gravy :) Only lately did I try eating it just steak alone with no condiments whatsoever.
ReplyDeleteBoth schools of thought have one common denominator: Thye both have steak. And that's all that matters :D
I still love my steak with gravy.hahaha. :)
DeleteP265 for the steak ain't that bad. ang pancake house pricing nga ngayon is now more than P200 na rin.
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried Pancake House steak though. Will try it soon. Thanks! ;)
DeleteI'm drooling over those onion rings and and tenderloin steaks haha
ReplyDeleteI'm a hardcore carnivore and funny that I have not tried Holy Cow yet. What a bummer, but at least now I know what to order when I visit them soon :) That tenderloin steak looks enticing I am so having that! Thanks for sharing michy!
ReplyDeleteAnother carnivore! I love it! :) You're welcome Yedy! :) Will be waiting for your Holy Cow review too. :)
DeleteI was looking for a review for Holy cow, buti nlng nakita ko to.... di naman pala sila ganung ka mahal.... will order these soon.
ReplyDeleteHope you like it Sweethesia. :)
DeleteHoly Cow for me is "okay". I mean, prices are just (since considerably, they are cheaper than other steak houses). But, it lacks awesome food presentation for me. And the taste is just satisfactory.
ReplyDeleteThat's why when we tried out Holy Cow, we didn't have the feeling of "My experience was superb! Let's go back here again".
Of course we have our own preferences in food. I'm just sharing mine. :)
Most of the time, presentation is really important. :) Thanks for sharing. :)
DeleteI personally love their Frozen Apple Pie Cheesecake, it's one of my best ever
ReplyDeleteOwww. Cheesecake! Will try it some time! :)
