Crazy Katsu

My friends and I recently headed out to one of the must-try restaurants along Maginhawa Street: Crazy Katsu.

It was a busy Saturday night for Crazy Katsu, which is a really small katsuretsu place, that our group was seated at the alfresco area. The resto offers mainly Katsu dishes and other specials.

My friends ordered the Chicken Katsu (Php 145) and Tonkatsu (Php 140)

Chicken Katsu
Tonkatsu

The Chicken Katsu is their bestseller, which is served with shredded cabbage and special sauce. I got envious with the Tonkatsu, which is simple but looks delicious!

Katsudon

I ordered Katsudon (Php 150), a popular Japanese rice bowl with deep-fried pork cutlet with egg. It was good and the serving's enough for me.

Overall, I love the laid-back feel Crazy Katsu has that it got me reminiscing my university days. I love that they offer authentic Japanese katsu at very affordable prices.

I'd definitely visit again and try their other dishes.

    2. My first try was at the Marikina branch. Good thing they made it air-conditioned already and the place is more spacious. Panalo talaga yung sauce nila for the chicken katsu! The katsudon paired with their teriyaki sauce and Japanese mayo is awesome too.

Great post! Will be keeping track of your blog from now on (Btw, I saw it via Kath Ferrer's blog since she also showed my pics as well). And of course, you're in my blogroll! ^^

  3. Now, I officially miss Japanese food. We are scheduled to have a date next Friday in a Japanese resto but it will be yakiniku for us, not katsu.
