Weekend Bonding at Mountain Lake Resort, Caliraya Springs (Part 2)

We began our morning at the Marina Resort playing in the Hanging Bridge.

Then we went back to the clubhouse for our breakfast.

Biking

After breakfast, we decided to try the tandem bikes outside the clubhouse.

It was very challenging for me to try the tandem bike because I never learned how to ride one. However, a few practices on balance did the trick. I should be ready to ride alone next time. They have single bikes and parallel bikes that you can use as well.

Golf Carting

I have always thought that driving a golf cart was easy, turns out I was wrong.

We drove around the uphills and downhills of the Caliraya Springs Golf Range. The view from the lake was beautiful. It was an exhilarating experience, albeit the screams in between.

Zipline

We went back to the Marina for more activities. Next in line was the zipline.

It wasn't the most exciting zipline for me, but the adrenaline trip was amazing.

Kayak and Boating

We also did some arm exercises with Kayaking.

There was something about kayaking and lakes that makes me calm and peaceful. With surroundings quite serene, one wouldn't feel the time moving. I could have done another round, if only it wasn't too hot.

Obstacle Course

The highlight of the way was the Obstacle Course. Everyone who joined was divided to two teams, and we were tasked to finish the 9 obstacles in the quickest time possible. The obstacle course includes:

Slide-Drop-Climb-Drop
Wall Climb Slide
Cable Balance
Log Crossing
Palo Sebo

I was able to finish the whole course (yoohoo!), though I fell off the last course (I thought I was a ninja), it was a fun experience planning strategies and doing something physical. And a realization that I am indeed getting old. :\

Swimming Pool

After our physically-demanding activities, we cooled down in the swimming pool and savored our last few hours before we get back to reality.

We had a fantastic lunch at La Cucina de Caliraya of Crispy Pata, Chop Suey, and Kare Kare. Too bad I wasn't able to take photos, I was too hungry.

It was a short yet memorable getaway with friends at the Mountain Lake Resort, Caliraya Springs. I wish we had more time and stayed longer, but the whole experience was filled with laughter and stories, may it be work or travel-related. It is an experience that you should try every once in a while.
