ElarZ Lechon

Note: This location is already closed.

It's been months since I've had a lechon (I think my last lechon was December) so my friend and I got ourselves a cholesterol treat at ElarZ Lechon.

ElarZ Lechon is from the same family who brought us Elar's Lechon, which has been serving delicious lechon for around 40 years. ElarZ currently has 4 locations around Metro Manila. My friend and I went to their Greenhills branch.

The Greenhills branch both has a take-out counter and an open-air dining area. Good thing it wasn't crowded when we arrived.

We ordered 1/4 kilo lechon (Php 200) and Pork Sisig (Php 99) with a cup of rice (Php 15) and a 16 oz soft drink (Php 25).

ElarZ Lechon
Pork Sisig
The Pork Sisig had a little too much of chopped onions, though I love onions, I was expecting more meat. What surprised me was the lechon. The lechon is a bit on a sweet side, it wasn't that crunchy but it wasn't fatty either. It goes well with the lechon sauce. I really thought we'd be bitin with 1/4 kilo but it was too heavy for the both of us.

Though it's not healthy to eat lechon frequently, I'd love to go back to ElarZ Lechon soon and have another bite of that delicious lechon skin.

Try ElarZ and you might just forget the word 'diet'.

  1. Elar's and Elarz are two different company. Elar's is the better one you can still visit them at q. ave near rotondo. Elarz makes it confusing by putting a store before you reach the real Elar's. I ask my driver to pick up my lechon at Elar's..napunta siya kay Elarz...lechon lover would know. Nice review by the way - Lechon lover

  9. if you ask elarz if elar's is the same with them, they'll reply yes.

While if you ask elar's if elarz is a sister company, you'll get a straight no.

I think family feud that gets into business...

Your post makes me wanna drive to a lechon store. More power!

  11. It's been a while since I had Elarz lechon. Hopefully, it will not be too commercialized as I personally want Elar's/Elarz. :)

  12. Rumor has it that the owner or Elar's died and the biz were left to the children.. after few disagreements, the children went separate ways. The other one continued Elar's and the other opened another which is Elar'z... so same family recipe..
