Cafe Jeepney at Hotel Intercontinental Manila

Note: This restaurant/hotel is already closed.

I got vouchers for a lunch or dinner buffet at Cafe Jeepney, Hotel Intercontinental from Deal Grocer earlier this year. I almost wasn't able to use it. Fortunately, I received an email from Deal Grocer reminding me that my vouchers are about to expire. I bought the vouchers for Php 875 each (original price is Php 1760++ per person). The voucher includes a lunch or dinner buffet and a glass of iced tea per person.

True to its name, Cafe Jeepney is decorated with jeepney paintings, horse decors (the ones seen in front of the jeepney), and of course, a miniature jeepney. :)

Cafe Jeepney offers both Filipino and International dishes plus a variety of yummy desserts.

You can choose from different stations like the Bread Station and Pasta & Salad Stations.

They also have a Carving Station. They were serving Honey and Cinnamon Glazed Ham with Grilled Pineapple.

There's also a Mongolian Station, where you can get to choose the ingredients. Choose Pork Liempo, Chicken Inasal, Maya-Maya, and Salmon at the Grilling Station and have them served at your table.

My friend and I also indulged ourselves with the Sushi and Sashimi Bar. I can't remember how many times we went back to this station. :)

Aside from the sushi, we also helped ourselves with the desserts.

The Dessert Station is overflowing with cakes (cheesecakes!), pastries, panna cotta of different flavors, and many more. They also have a chocolate fountain, fresh fruits station, and a Halo-Halo Station.

I was impressed with the presentation of the desserts. I love how sweet the mangoes are though it's not in season. However, they don't have an ice cream station. Maybe a sorbetes station would be nice (and more appropriate to the theme).

Overall, Cafe Jeepney was a nice experience due to its top-notch service. That simple gesture of finding our table napkins have been refolded each time we go back to our table was really impressive.

I would love to see Cafe Jeepney to introduce more international dishes on their menu. And more dessert choices. :)
