I have written about Sebastian's Ice Cream a few months back, featuring the Artisan flavor Once In a Blue Moon and Cornflake Milk. This time I'll be leaning more on flavors that I never thought would be ice cream flavors: the Filipino flavors and other Artisan flavors! :)
It's been a while since I had my first scoop of Sebastian's, and I've been a fan since. And I love that they keep on introducing a new flavor every now and then.
Sebastian's recently introduced two new Artisan flavors: Green Mango & Bagoong and Bacon Cheddar.
Green Mango & Bagoong |
Green Mango & Bagoong (Php 140, single scoop) is a green mango sorbet topped with warm sweet bagoong. I was really intrigued yet nervous about trying this new flavor. I could feel my heart beating fast as the sorbetera handed me my cup.
It was surprisingly good! The sourness of the green mango sorbet makes me want more bagoong, seriously. :)
Bacon Cheddar |
Bacon Cheddar (Php 155, single scoop) is sharp cheddar cheese with candied bacon. I firmly believe that bacon goes well with anything, and this ice cream strengthened that belief. It really defined the term 'cheesy bacon'.
Sebastian's also offers interesting Filipino flavors like Champorado and Mangga't Suman.
Champorado |
Mangga't Suman |
Champorado (Php 100, single scoop) is chocolate kakanin (rice cake) ice cream made of sticky rice, cocoa & chocolate. It's nice how they created this rainy day treat to an ice-cream version.
Mangga't Suman (Php 100, single scoop) is coconut kakanin ice cream with mango sorbet. The coconut kakanin ice cream and mango sorbet is a perfect balance of sweetness.
They also have Mango Sansrival and Sapin-Sapin. :)
Mango Sansrival |
Sapin-Sapin |
Mango Sansrival (Php 100, single scoop) is Cashew-Butter Ice Cream with wafer chunks, cashews, and mango swirl. I loved the buttery sweetness of this flavor. :)
Sapin-Sapin (Php 100, single scoop) is the most interesting flavor for me. It has kutchinta, langka, tube, and gata kakanin ice cream topped with latik. It's really wonderful how it was concocted. Yes, it was delicious!
Sebastian's Ice Cream never fails to surprise me with yummy flavors that I can't help going back and try what they have to offer.
Have you tried Sebastian's Ice Cream? What's your favorite flavor?

ReplyDeleteI can't imagine the taste of bagoong on top of something cold. What an adventure for the tongue indeed.
