I had a simple lunch with my college friends last month for my birthday at Pomodoro Pizza in Kapitolyo area. I have read and heard a lot of positive feedback about this place so I decided to bring my friends to try it.
Pomodoro Pizza is a small hole-in-the-wall al fresco joint hidden in Kapitolyo. We arrived quite early so we didn't have a problem with getting a table.
The menu is very simple, with mostly pizza and pasta, so we tried a few of the bestsellers.
For pasta, we ordered the Pasta con Pesce (Php 99), Carbonara Cremosa (Php 135), and Seafood Marinara (Php 139).
Pasta Con Pesce is tinapa Aglio olio, Carbonara Cremosa is creamy white pasta with lots of bacon and Seafood Marinara is spaghetti with shrimps, garlic, red wine and signature Pomodoro sauce. All of us liked the pasta dishes we ordered but I really enjoyed the Pasta Con Pesce the most. Also, the servings are good for sharing.
We also had two 12" pizzas: Amanti Della Carne (Php 229 for 12") and Specialle Della Casa (Php 229 for 12")

Amanti Della Carne is the all-meat pizza, with pepperoni, Hungarian sausage, ground beef and mozzarella, secret cheese, and basil. Specialle Della Casa is the house special with ham, onion, bacon, green bell pepper, mozzarella, secret cheese, and basil. Like the pasta dishes, we also loved both pizzas. I can't choose favorites this time because I really liked both. These pizzas are also available in 10".
For drinks, we had a pitcher of House Blend Ice Tea (Php 99).
We had an amazing time at Pomodoro Pizza. The prices are very affordable, the service is excellent
and the food is impressively delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes soon. Two thumbs
up Pomodoro!
