The Wholesome Table

I had the first taste of this all-organic restaurant, The Wholesome Table, during the Boni High Street Food Crawl several months ago. I visited this place again with my friends for our Sunday lunch out to try their other offerings.

I was really impressed with the naturesque boho-style interiors that go really well with the theme of the restaurant.

We were served with complimentary bread and butter as we wait for our food to arrive.

We had Burrata (Php 290) and Kale, Caesar! (Php 320) for starters.

Kale, Caesar!

Burrata is homemade cheese made from mozzarella and cream, topped with grape tomatoes, balsamic and basil, and served with sourdough toasts. I love the creamy texture with a bit of sourness brought by the balsamic. The serving is quite generous that you might want to request for more sourdough bread.

I liked the Kale, Caesar, which was quite generous as well, but it would be nicer if it had more dressing on it.

For pasta, we tried the Braised Pork Fettuccine (Php 470).

Who would think that a simple-looking pasta dish would taste phenomenal? The very tender pork shoulder on top of fettuccine with arugula and Pecorino Romano is heavenly. I would love to have this again on my next visit.

For the pizza, we kept it simple with the Margarita (Php 490).

I love the chewiness of the dough and the balance of the organic tomato sauce and mozzarella. It is worth the price.

Overall, I loved my dining experience in The Wholesome Table. It's nice to try places that strive to serve dishes using all-natural ingredients. The service was excellent and the price is fairly reasonable. I would love to go back to try more dishes and drinks.

  1. I've only had a smoothie and one of their juices at The Wholesome Table, and have been planning to go back for their food. Will definitely take your recommendation for the burrata and salad. :) Though for the mains, I think I'll have to try their vegan and glutten-free options. Hihi ^_^
