Update: As of March 2020, Tweedle Book Cafe has rebranded to an events place called Tweedle Book Hub
Manila is full of amazing cafes for coffee lovers or people who try to be coffee lovers. I myself love hanging in cafes, but I notice that most places are not really ideal for reading. Glad somebody thought of opening a library cafe for bookworms like me: Tweedle Book Cafe.
Tweedle Book Cafe is the newly-opened library cafe near Tomas Morato, Quezon City. The place actually has books you can borrow and read while you're enjoying a cup of coffee, hot chocolate, or any of their pasta dishes and desserts.
I was so in love with the place the moment I entered the cafe. Aside from categorized books ala formal library, the whole place was entirely a book lover's dream sanctuary. Don't miss out on the wooden ceilings with famous authors written all over, or the wall clocks to tell the "time" of the fictional places, or Platform 9 3/4 or the chalkboard wall.
Tweedle Book Cafe is more into hot chocolate than coffee and tea, but I like both coffee and hot chocolate so I had both. :)
For coffee, I ordered a Latte (Php 140), while for hot chocolate, I ordered a Cinnamon-Infused Hot Chocolate (Php 160).

My friends, however, got a scoop of Sea Salt Caramel Ice Cream by Merry Moo (Php 100) and Matcha Latte (Php 100).

We liked how cute the glass where the ice cream was served. My friend who got the matcha found it too mild for her tastes.
My friends and I have tried other Hot Chocolate drinks as well: Hazelnut, Vanilla, and Salty Caramel (Php 160).

I would recommend the Cinnamon and Hazelnut-Infused Hot Chocolate, take Vanilla if you aren't feeling adventurous and Salty Caramel if you like a sweet note with your chocolate.
The choices for desserts aren't that many, but you should try the Chocolate Lava Cake (Php 120, add Php 100 for a scoop of ice cream).

A delicious gooey chocolate fudge inside was enough to warm our hearts.
Tweedle Book Cafe also serves sandwiches, pies, and pasta (among other things) which I will definitely try on my next visit. However, I do hope they'll add more dishes to their menu soon.
Do you love books, coffee, and hot chocolate like me? Visit Tweedle Book Cafe and I bet you'll love it as much as I did. :)
