Exciting Times with IHOP's New Dishes and Drinks!

Note: This restaurant is already closed.

I have been to IHOP in BGC several times but I only limited myself to pancakes and coffee. Gladly, I was invited by IHOP to try out their new dishes from the lunch and dinner menu, healthy drinks, and limited edition pancakes. :)

This month, IHOP has introduced its limited edition Paradise Pancakes. Inspired by the tropical flavors of the Philippines, the Paradise Pancakes has three flavors: Strawberry Passionfruit, Banana Macadamia, and Pineapple Upside Down.

IHOP has also brought in some local flavors to their lunch and dinner menu last June, and we got to try some of these dishes. We had the BBQ Liempo (Php 245), Cajun Tilapia (Php 245 for 1 pc, Php 295 for 2 pcs), and Cordon Bleu (Php 265).

Cordon Bleu

A Filipino favorite, the BBQ Liempo is pork belly served with atchara and rice. The Cajun Tilapia is a spicy tilapia fillet served with diced tomatoes and parsley, broccoli, and rice. Another favorite, the Cordon Bleu is breaded chicken filled with ham and cheese, served with buttered corn and rice. We loved everything but we were seriously impressed with the Cajun Tilapia.

We also had the Garlic Cream Cobb Salad (Php 245) and the Bacon Temptation Omelette (Php 365).

A new dish on the menu, the Garlic Cream Cobb Salad has romaine lettuce, watercress, tomatoes, avocadoes, blue cheese, egg, and bacon bits with garlic ranch dressing. This salad is a combination of mild and strong flavors that you'll surely love. For bacon lovers, you'll surely love the Bacon Temptation Omelette, with bits and strips of bacon, cheese, and diced tomatoes. I loved it!

For burgers and sandwiches, we were served the Sloppy Joe (Php 245) and the Waffle Burger (Php 395).

Waffle Burger

A classic sandwich, Sloppy Joe has premium ground beef in BBQ and tomato sauces with cheddar cheese on a burger bun. A new addition to the menu, the Waffle Burger is 100% pure beef patty with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and egg on a Belgian Waffle Bun. The Waffle Burger is the winner of the International dineChef Contest, where IHOP chefs competed to create new and unique menu items. And this extraordinary burger is made by our local IHOP chef, Kristine Nadine Lucas.

IHOP has made their dining experience fresher with its new line of fresh fruit juices, shakes, and smoothies. I got Fresh Vibes (Php 180) while my friends had Green Lemonade Smoothie (Php 145) and Mango Smoothie (Php 145).

Fresh Vibes

Fresh Vibes is fresh cucumber and ginger juice, Green Lemonade Smoothie has spinach, malunggay, lemon juice, banana, honey, and basil while Mango Smoothie has ripe mango, yogurt, and honey. We loved how refreshing our drinks are but we'd love to try other juices and smoothies on our next visit.

It's amazing how IHOP Philippines balanced the American classics with the Filipino favorites. IHOP's wide selection of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner will surely make you want to go back for more.

Thanks to IHOP Philippines for having us.
