Subic Wonders: A Tavola

Our last food stop during our last trip to Subic was A Tavola, located behind Subic Bay Venezia Hotel, where we stayed.

The resto has smoking and non-smoking areas -- of course we asked to be seated in the non-smoking area.

We were served complimentary pizza bread with butter.

The bread is homemade. They even have a glass window from the outside so you can watch the kitchen crew as they prepare your pizza.

For salad, we ordered Insalata Caprese (Php 340).

Insalata Caprese

Fresh tomatoes with Italian cow mozzarella, basil and garlic. We weren't that impressed with the caprese, though the tomatoes were indeed fresh. Maybe we just expected that they'll serve a better kind of cheese.

However, we really liked the A Tavola Pizza (Php 390).

A Tavola Pizza

Topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, homemade Italian sausage, onion rings, black olives and fresh basil, the pizza was served fresh from the oven. The only thing I didn't like was they put too much onions, otherwise, it was perfect.

It was a satisfactory experience at A Tavola. It may not be the best Italian meal I had, but I would love to go back to try their pasta and other pizza next time.

  4. This is very timely as I'm looking into doing solo day trips around Metro Manila. Since Subic is accessible, I might drop by here for lunch or early dinner :)
