TuanTuan Chinese Brasserie Opens in Greenhills

The first Chinese Brasserie in the country, TuanTuan, has opened a new location in Promenade Greenhills.

TuanTuan Chinese Brasserie has a French and Hongkong cafe ambiance.

Known for the snow buns which they make in-house, TuanTuan is also popular for the halibut soup, Macanese dishes, and the Hongkong style coffee.

For starters, we had the Crispy Barbecued Pork Snow Buns (Php 128).

Crispy Barbecued Pork Snow Buns

Served fresh from the oven, the Barbecued Pork Snow Buns have the crunchy white buns with sweet and tender barbecued pork. This is the best pork buns I've tried so far, and I regret that we ordered just one serving. Note to self: order more of these next time!

We tried one of the Specialty Noodle Soup Combos, the Elixir Herbal Soup with Sliced Chicken, Fish Puff with Drink (Php 498)

They replaced the Taiwan Pechay with mushrooms during our visit. I liked the taste of the broth, but it wasn't something I would crave for. I will go for the Halibut Soup next time.

We also had the ala carte dishes: the Honey Garlic Spareribs (Php 298) and Steamed Halibut Belly with Light Soy Sauce (Php 388).

I was impressed with the Honey Garlic Spareribs. The serving was more generous than what I'm used to, and the sweetness and the garlicky taste is well-balanced. I highly recommend this dish. :)

Another dish that we loved is the House Special Trio (Php 398).

House Special Trio

The House Special Trio is a combination of three Macanese dishes: the Baked Seafood, Wild Mushroom and Pork Chop on top of rice. The Baked Seafood is with creamy white sauce, the Wild Mushroom with pesto while the Pork Chop is with marinara sauce. I loved all the dishes in the House Special Trio that I can't wait to have more of this dish soon.

I wished we had space for dessert but we were too full to eat more.

Overall, I was impressed with TuanTuan's delicious Chinese dishes. I can't wait to try more dishes (and the desserts) on my next visit. Oh, the Promenade Greenhills branch can get really crowded during peak hours so it is best if you come early.
