Starbucks Reserve

After a lovely dinner with friends, we decided to head out to Starbucks Reserve in Forbes Town Center at The Fort.

The interiors look more modern than the Starbucks branches I usually visit. As I've read in other blogs, Starbucks Reserve pastries are also different, however, I was too full to try anything.

The highlight of the shop is the pour-over area, where you can chat with the barista as she prepares your coffee. I had a fun conversation with her and other customers who are waiting for their coffee as well.

I ordered the Finca Nueva Mexico (hot) while my friends ordered Brazil Bourbon Rio Verde (hot) and Ethiopia Yigarcheffe (iced).

Ironically, I asked the barista to get me a mild coffee hence the Finca Nueva Mexico. However, it made me alert for a few more hours. The flavor was a bit bold and the blend was so smooth.

Starbucks Reserve pour-over coffee are priced from Php 130 to Php 170, except for the 100% Kona Parry Estate which ranges from Php 210 to Php 250.

Compared to other third-wave coffee shops I have visited, Starbucks Reserve is almost the same price. However, their coffee variants aren't any different from the third wave coffee shops. Still, I would visit Starbucks Reserve again should I happen to be in the area.
