Seattle's Best Milk Tea and Valentine Cookies

Note: This location is already closed.

I was recently invited by Seattle's Best Coffee for an afternoon delight with fellow bloggers. It was a good opportunity to try Seattle's since I was planning to do a coffee-and-cheesecake thing there (I'm quite addicted to cheesecake recently). Little did I know that I would be up for a challenge: Milk Tea!

If you've been reading this blog, you'll notice that I don't have posts about milk tea. It is because for some reasons, I don't like milk tea. There's this taste that I just don't like. I don't like pearls too that even my taho doesn't have sago on it.

I had to tell this to Eric of SBC that he told me that he'll serve me a coffee if I didn't like milk tea. But hey, the event's for SBC Milk Tea, and if I can eat frog legs, I can definitely drink milk tea. :)

Unlike other milk tea shops, SBC Milk Tea has one unique flavor. It is a blend of four kinds of tea: black tea, green tea, English breakfast, and Jasmine, with caramel for the sweetness. SBC Milk Tea is available in both hot and iced (with red tapioca pearls).

SBC Milk Tea (hot and iced)

I liked the mildness of the SBC Milk Tea, the sweetness is just right for me. I find myself instinctively sipping both the hot and iced milk tea. I liked both iced and hot versions.

SBC Milk Tea is available until the end of March 2012.

SBC Valentine Cookies

For the Valentine season, Seattle's Best Coffee offers Valentine Cookies. Available in four different designs, these cookies are butter cookies covered in fondant. At Php 85 apiece, it's a perfect Valentine give-away.

SBC Valentine Cookies are available until February 21, 2012.

Seattle's Best also offers meals that go well with their drinks:

Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Panini
I had Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Panini (Php 205). It is premium smoked salmon, soft cream cheese, and lettuce in whole wheat ciabatta. It's a heavy but healthy treat, a must-try especially if you're on a diet (but no, I'm not a diet).

All-Vegetable Salad
Another healthy treat is the All-Vegetable Salad (Php 165), a mix of fresh veggies with almonds, olives, and croutons, and Parmesan cheese.

Arrabiatta
SBC also serves pasta like Arrabiatta (Php 175), which is penne with slightly spicy tomato-based sauce with Parmesan cheese and anchovies. I found it sweet for an Arrabiatta, but good enough if you can't tolerate spicy food.

SBC also offers all-day breakfast like pancakes, omelets, and big breakfasts, which I'm going to try soon (I love breakfast!)

Thanks to Seattle's Best Coffee Philippines for having us. :)

  10. We have the same taste. I'm not really a fan of milk tea too. I tried on in SG and I threw up. It may be the morning sickness, though, since I was pregnant that time. Hehehe! But seriously thinking of trying it again, sans the morning sickness na. Yey!

P.S. You had me at Salmon and cream cheese panini. Drooling!

  14. Very interesting post and great photos!

I have not been back in the Philippines for a visit since 1999 (wow, I just realised that it is almost 13 years!), and I am very curious to all the changes, I have missed. I think in a way it would be another kind of culture shock - a good kind, though.

Your blog made me hungry! lol

    Best regards, Joanna
