I've included The Sandwich Guy at my post about my favorite quick eats, and recently, I'm really getting obsessed with The Sandwich Guy!
I spend an hour traveling from our house to the office and though I eat breakfast at home, I'm usually hungry by the time I reach the office so I grab something for a quick breakfast (part 2) and I usually buy at The Sandwich Guy.
The Sandwich Guy uses patented hexagon whole wheat bread, fresh and organic ingredients for their sandwiches. They also serve pasta, baked potatoes, and salads.

I recently tried one of their pasta dishes, Tommy Boy (Php 70).

And recently, my favorite lunches are their baked potatoes.

I love that The Sandwich Guy caters to people who are always in a hurry. I like that they have organic options for the health-conscious. I love the reusable containers too! :)
But I have noted some points that The Sandwich Guy has to improve on:
- The price difference. Both Grilled Cheese and Peanut Butter Banana are Php 55 at Branch A but Peanut Butter Banana is Php 65 and Grilled Cheese is Php 55 at Branch B. Care to explain why?
- The baked potatoes at Branch A are halved while the baked potatoes at Branch B aren't. Hmm.
- The menu said that the baked potatoes are thick potato slices and not baby potatoes.
- The menu varies depending on the branch.
Maybe I'm just too keen on the standards, but I really hope somebody explains why the variation.
Anyhoo, it's the Lenten season, and if I can't have my meat, I'll have TSG to rescue me. Oh, baked potatoes, please!

DeleteI still haven't tried eating anything from The Sandwich Guy yet, but I just found out they have a kiosk in SM North The Block! :D So the next time I'll take a trip to the mall, I'll make sure to get something from TSG. I hope The Block's branch has a good and more affordable menu though.
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you think ha. :)
DeleteI used to go to the Sandwich Guy here at the Fort! And my favorite is the Cheesy Bacon Baked Potato!Though I love all of their sandwiches all the same. Nakakabusog kasi, and flavorful pa! :>

ReplyDeletehave a nice day!
Thanks but I already posted one. :(
Deletei'll try the peanut butter banana sandwich! i only like their pollo rosmarino and crabstick & mango sandwiches. I tried the pesto pasta but didn't like it that much coz it was too oily. the chili con carne baked potato had more fat than lean ground meat, so i like wendy's better. anyway, mine was sliced potatoes & not baby potatoes though. Hmm, walang consistency kasi sa branches nila e.
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried the pollo rosmarino and crabstick & mango. Will try that soon. :) Hmm, TSG must have a problem with consistency. :(
DeleteHmm.. Pricing tactics. I'm not so sure but that might be the case of different prices between the branches. You can ask naman siguro sa kanila. Love those cheese, though. :)

ReplyDeleteMe too! I'm getting addicted to their baked potatoes! :)
DeleteI really like TSG as well. There's one in Eastwood and whenever I'm hungry, I'd grab a sandwich there. My usual order there is their BBQ Chicken sandwich. I also like their Kaya Toast + Coffee combo. :)
ReplyDeleteHi jase! They have Kaya Toast??? And coffee??? I haven't seen that one their menu. :)
DeleteYes, they do. If I remember correctly, the combo only costs 55 PhP. The jam they use is the usual Filipino coco jam though, not the milder tasting one used in SG or in KL. Still, I like their kaya toast. :D
DeleteHmm, I have to try that. :)
DeleteHmmn. Still haven't tried The Sandwich Guy but I guess I really should! I love grilled cheese and PB&B sandwiches! :)

DeleteOh my this looks good!!! I thought the tomatoes in the pasta were green mangoes. hahahaha
