Globe Telecom's Speed Dating Event with the Philippine Volcanoes




I was invited to attend Globe Telecom's Free Mobile FB launch with the Philippine Volcanoes at Izakaya Sake Bar, Greenbelt 2, Makati City. The Philippine Rugby Union, better known as the 'Volcanoes', are Globe's Ambassadors for Bill Shock. 
 
The event was attended by more than 25 media people and women bloggers. Since there are 7 guys from the Philippine Volcanoes, the session was divided into batches and we were given 2 minutes per guy to strike a conversation and take a picture using the camera phones provided by Globe.



Speed Dating with the Philippine Volcanoes

I was with the 2nd batch. Good thing I also have my camera with me so I have pictures with them for myself. :) The guys came from training, and were looking tired. Nevertheless, they engaged in good conversation and were very courteous and accommodating. I was not used to the phone Globe provided, and the guys were nice enough to help me take photos of us. ;)

The Post-Valentine event is Globe's launch for FREE FACEBOOK ACCESS ON MOBILE for Globe Prepaid and TM subscribers. Til March 14, 2012, Globe subscribers can browse Facebook on their handsets, update status, post comments, upload photos for FREE!

To access FREE FACEBOOK, Globe Prepaid and TM subscribers need to register to the promo by texting FREE FB to 8888 or call *143# for free. This will allow users to access m.facebook.com without charge. :)

    I was supposed to attend this event but since it was a bar and I was not supposed to be exposed in a place where there is smoke, I decided not to go. Gutom kayo? Di bale may free Camera phone naman kayo :-) Plus nakausap ninyo Philippine Volcanoes:-)

      Hi Cha! It's a sake bar, and not 'that' kind of bar. I wouldn't have attended if it was, I can't tolerate smoke too. :) Nope, we didn't have free camera phones, but we were able to talk to Philippine Volcanoes. :)
