Spa junkies that we are, Mr. B and I recently visited an organic spa in Quezon City named Soneva Spa.
Located along the busy street of Tomas Morato, Soneva Spa is a wellness hub that offers body massage, foot treatments, and facials.
The reception and waiting area were reasonably spacious, with personal television for every table. However, we weren't able to try it because we didn't have to wait for our treatments.
I tried the Soneva Elemental Jade Stone Massage (Php 1217) while Mr. B had the Balinese Herbal Detox Massage (Php 697 for 1 hour, Php 797 for 1 hour 30 mins).

The staff was nice enough to get us a couples' room. The couples' room has its own cabinet to leave our things, towels, and robes. We were given enough time to settle before our massage.
For my treatment, Soneva uses real jade stone massage a la hot stone massage. The massage got me really relaxed that I fell asleep during the treatment. The hot jade stone really soothed my tired back muscles that I felt lighter after the massage.
For the Balinese Herbal Detox Massage, they use heating pouches to detoxify the body and relieve the muscles.
Here's Mr. B's comment about his experience:
It was one of the best massages I've had. I've never tried heating pouches in massage before. It really gives you a heavenly feeling. It's really good for relieving your back muscles and back pains. I also liked the room temperature, it was cool but not too cold like other spas. Totally, the area was so peaceful and relaxing. I hope I can go back there soon.
After our massage, we were served hot tea and water. We were also given time to rest a bit before taking off.
It was a lovely experience at Soneva Spa. The staff, from the masseuse and the receptionist, was very friendly. It's a bit on a higher side compared to the regular spas I go to (like Nuat Thai), so I was hoping for a special feature like sauna or foot soak, but I hope they'll have that soon. Still, I would love to go back to try their other massages.

Hmm... So who is Mr. B? Hehehe... Just yesterday I've been thinking that I want to get a massage, but QC is too far from me. I wonder if there is a Soneva branch here in Makati. I haven't tried the hot stone massage, I'm thinking of giving it a try.
