BadWolf Public House: Not Just for the Beer Drinkers

Note: This restaurant has been renamed to Public House Kitchen & Brewery

Another place in Old Town Manassas that we love visiting over and over is the newly-opened BadWolf Public House. This place is our go-to spot for dinner most of the time because it's open until late night.

BadWolf Public House by the same owners as Bad Wolf Brewing Company and CJ Finz Raw Bar & Grille, so if you love beer, this is the place you should visit. But more than the beer, this restaurant serves food from brunch to dinner.

For appetizers, we have tried the Poutine ($10) and the Mediterranean Board ($9).

Poutine
Mediterranean Board

Poutine is hand cut fries with cheddar cheese curds and beef gravy, while the Mediterranean Board is homemade hummus served with marinated olives, artichokes, roasted red peppers, and warm naan. I'm partial to Poutine since I'm a fries junkie, however, the Mediterranean Board isn't bad either. I'd just rather go to Katerina's for hummus.

We also had Public House Caesar ($8) and the boyfie had Bahn Mi ($12), which he found impressive.

We have tried almost everything in the Next Level (the mains) menu, and to be honest, BadWolf has not disappointed us so far.

For the lighter fares, the Smoked Mac & Cheese ($16) and Public House Salmon ($20) are both heavenly.

Public House Salmon

Smoked Mac & Cheese features Vermont Cheddar, with roasted onions and bacon. This dish's subtle flavor is what makes it exquisite. I found myself savoring each bite as slowly as I can. Public House Salmon is another surprisingly amazing dish, with pan roasted salmon served with stone salad and roasted veggies. The salmon has a crunchy exterior but was impressively moist and juicy on the inside. The roasted vegetables and the stone salad are perfect companions for this delicious fish.

For the hard cores, I have tried the Tomahawk Chop ($20) and the Public House Filet ($28).

The Tomahawk Chop is a huge piece of grilled and seasoned pork chop, served with bacon-laced grits, onions and finished with port wine demi-glace. I was surprised that it was so juicy and tender. Two thumbs up on this!

The dish that I strongly recommend that you try is the Public House Filet. The Public House Filet is beef tenderloin served on roasted garlic mashed potatoes. It is served perfectly cooked to our preference whenever we order this dish. Seriously impressive.

If you love drinking beer, you shouldn't miss on trying the Virginia-brewed draft beers, but if you aren't a beer drinker like me, you'll still enjoy Bad Wolf Public House.

The food and drinks are amazing, the service is always top notch, and the place is something you'd love to go to relax and unwind.
