Applebee's Now Open in Eastwood!

Note: This restaurant is already closed.

Applebee's Grill and Bar has opened its 2nd branch in the Philippines in Eastwood City Libis last July 4th which also happens to be the Independence Day celebration in the United States.

Applebee's is one of the world's largest casual dining brands, with more than 2000 locations in 49 states and 15 countries.

This place is amazing for lunch and dinner with family and friends as well as a drinking spot after work hours with colleagues and barkada.

My foodie friends and I got to try some of their dishes and drinks.

For appetizers, we had the Sriracha Shrimp (Php 445), Wonton Taco (Php 225), and Double Crunch Bone-in Wings Honey BBQ Flavor (Php 395).

The Sriracha Shrimp gives a spicy kick with its Sriracha chili-lime dip, the wonton crisps are fun to munch on too. Another dish we loved is the Wonton Taco, also a spicy dish with chicken, coleslaw, and cilantro. I wouldn't miss out on chicken wings, and I love Applebee's Double Crunch Bone-in Wings that I think I didn't share. :P

Applebee's serves an impressive line-up of alcoholic drinks. My friends had the Berry Sangria (Php 250) and Mangorita (Php 195 for single, Php 235 for double, Php 350 for a carafe) while I got curious and had the Coronarita (Php 395 for single, Php 435 for double).

We all loved our drinks, especially the Coronarita, which is huge enough to share with my friends.

For mains, we were served the 4-Cheese Mac & Cheese with Honey Pepper Chicken Tender (Php 385), Fiesta Lime Chicken (Php 395) with Fiesta Chicken Chopped Salad (Php 325) on the side.

Because I love anything with cheese, I simply fell in love with the 4-Cheese Mac and Cheese as the sauce is creamy and cheeses blended perfectly, the chicken tenders brings a sweet note to this heavenly pasta dish. I also loved the citrusy flavors of the Fiesta Lime Chicken, topped with Jack cheddar, Mexi-ranch, and served with mexi-rice. Don't underestimate this dish as this dish is quite heavy. Also on the Tex-Mex side, the Fiesta Chicken Chopped Salad is a medley of black bean corn salsa, roasted red peppers, and onions, tortilla strips, white cheddar and JalapeƱo dressing, the combination of sweet, sour and spicy was perfectly-harmonized!

We also had Applebee's very unique hand-crafted burger, the Quesadilla Burger (Php 525).

Quesadilla Burger

The Quesadilla Burger is burger patty with Applebee's signature Mexi-ranch sauce with pico de gallo and shredded lettuce in Jack and cheddar quesadilla. I usually don't really care much for the burger bun so the Quesadilla Burger was a treat for me as I can savor the burger patty more.

For desserts, we had the Butter Pecan Blondie (Php 325) and the Triple Chocolate Meltdown (Php 295).

Triple Chocolate Meltdown

Served on a sizzling plate, the Butter Pecan Brownie is baked with nuts, glazed pecans, and served with cream cheese sauce while the Triple Chocolate Meltdown is a moist chocolate cake with fudge in the center and served with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge.

Because these two are the bestselling desserts, we had to decide on which we like better, and the Butter Pecan Blondie won the table. :P

Applebee's have proven that you'll never run out of reasons to celebrate with their sumptuous dishes and amazing drinks. I can't wait to go back for more! :)

Thanks to Applebee's Philippines for having us.
