Chuck's Deli: Slabwiches and More

I was recently invited by Chuck's Deli (through Eugene of Hefty Foodie) to an intimate dinner with fellow bloggers. It was good timing since my college friends are planning to try their eating challenge: the Slay The Buffy! The Buffy is one of Chuck's Deli's bestselling slabwich which has buffalo chicken and garlic sauce. Finish the whole slab of the Buffy (worth Php 590) under 5 minutes and get it for FREE! Chuck's Deli is the brainchild of Marco Alcantara, who was craving sandwiches he grew up within the US. Together with his wife, Chef Katrina Kuhn-Alcantara, they created wonderful sandwiches we now call a SLABWICH.

To start our meal, Crystal Yaptinchay, the Marketing Manager served us her favorite Sidekick, the Potato Chips (Php 75).

Flatbread Pizzas

Chuck's Deli also introduced the newest item in their menu: the Flatbread Pizzas.

The Flatbread Pizzas have a freshly-made crust and homemade cream sauce with 5 delicious flavors:

Parma Ham

Bacon (Php 245) has bacon slices, onion, and nutmeg. The Shrimps & Anchovies (Php 265) has shrimps, anchovies, onions, arugula, and garlic oil. I like how the saltiness of the anchovies balances the taste of the shrimps.

Sausage (Php 265) has English & Italian garlic sausages with onions, Swiss cheese, and shredded basil. This is my personal favorite. I love the mild flavors of this pizza. It was really yummy!

Mushroom & Swiss (Php 265) has fresh button mushrooms, Swiss cheese, onions, and arugula. Parma Ham (Php 285) has Parma Ham, onions, arugula with lemon oil. Each pizza is good for 2-3 persons.

Slabwiches

Our group also shared a whole slab of Hamsome Threesome (Php 495).

One of Chuck's Deli's bestsellers, Hamsome Threesome has York Ham, Mortadella Ham, Smoked Cooked Ham with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and Chuck's sauce on 10-inch homemade Ciabatta bread. It is a little spicy (from the ham, I guess). It was delicious, nonetheless.

Chasers & Quenchers

Chuck's Deli offers a variety of drinks, from local and imported sodas to freshly made smoothies and milkshakes.

Some of us got the Power Shake (Php 145), which is a combination of lettuce, apple, and orange.

Arce Dairy Milkshakes (Php 195) are quite popular in Chuck's Deli. Each milkshake has 3 scoops of Arce Dairy ice cream blended with fresh carabao's milk.

One of us had Vanilla Oreo, while I had Banana Peanut Butter.

I love the milkshake! I was really thick and yummy! I can't wait to try all the other flavors.

I also had a single Cafe Latte (Php 75). Yes, they do have hot coffee. They serve beer and house wine too.

Sweet Fixes

For dessert, we had Mamou's Key Lime Pie (Php 145) and Waffle Sundae.

I liked that Mamou's Key Lime Pie is not too strong yet very creamy. The Waffle Sundae has three scoops of Arce Dairy Ice Cream: Chocolate, Quezo Real, and Strawberry with waffle bits and banana slices. You'll get this for free if you dine at Chuck's Deli on your birthday, but they'll put this awesome dessert on their menu soon. :)

It was definitely a satisfying dinner at Chuck's Deli. The service was really good, and the food great! For delicious slabwiches, flatbread pizzas, milkshakes, and more, this is the place for you. Do share with your friends or family a whole slabwich, or if you're really hungry, finish one yourself! :) Can't wait to try all the other slabwiches they have to offer. :)

P.S.

I actually went back the next day for lunch with a work colleague. We shared a half-slab of The Reuben (Php 355) which comes with Onion Rings, and a Sausage Flatbread Pizza. The Reuben has homemade Angus corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and mustard. Didn't I mention before that I love onion rings? I think you should try their onion rings! I loved it!

The saltiness of the homemade Angus corned beef is just right, and it was really tender too.
