Kula Revolving Sushi Bar in San Diego

It has been months since I went for a quick vacation in South California but I never got the time to share my dining experiences during my visit. One of the exciting places I was able to try during my trip is Kula Revolving Sushi Bar in San Diego.

Kula (or Kura) is a revolving restaurant chain with over 400 locations in Japan, 8 locations in Taiwan, and 14 locations in the United States.

We arrived at the restaurant right after noon and the place is already packed, with a queue waiting outside. We waited for an hour, but we didn't mind because it was orderly and chairs are provided outside the door.

There are sushi choices in the conveyor belt that a person can possibly try. All sushi in the conveyor belt cost $2.25 per plate. If you finish up to 15 plates, you get a free item from Kula. :)

Special dishes can be ordered via the tablet on the table, and is served through the special conveyor belt.

Some of the sushi we have tried are: Garlic Tuna Steak, Garlic Ponzu Salmon, Octopus, Spicy Salmon Crunchy Roll, Philadelphia Roll, Red Snapper with Yuzu Pepper, and Hokkaido Scallop.

Outside the choices in the conveyor belt, we ordered Baked Crab Cheese Roll ($3.20), which was delivered to our table through the special conveyor belt.

Desserts can also be got from the conveyor belt, so we shared a piece of Hokkaido Milk Creamy Tart since we are already full. We loved sushi so much that we managed to finish 15 plates, and got a free item from Kula. Yay!

Other menu choices available are ramen, udon, tempura, and other Japanese specialties.

Despite the long waiting time, I really had an amazing dining experience in Kula Revolving Sushi Bar. I would definitely want to go back to this place. :)
