Bay Area Eats: Cupertino

Apologies for the lack of posts the past few months. Trying my best to get back to blogging. Will
be posting an alternate of backlogs and recent experience more often. I promise!

This took a while, but I cannot not share the area in the US the I liked most (so far): Bay Area in California. :)

Here are the awesome places we have tried and enjoyed during our stay in Cupertino area. I tried my best to remember all the names of the dishes, but my memory failed me. Sorry. :p

1. Parkview Kitchen and Spirits

Located inside Juniper Hotel Cupertino, Parkview Kitchen & Spirits serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, to dinner. This place is also perfect for happy hours.

We ordered Joe's Special ($15), a salad and a soup for brunch.

Joe's Special

Joe's Special has ground chuck, baby spinach, cheddar, and onions, served with Parmesan bread and toasted Juniper butter. The food and service were amazing, but it's somewhere you'd want to go if you want to spend a bit more.

2. Aqui

Aqui is a California Mexican restaurant that serves delicious Mexican-inspired dishes and industrial strength margaritas.

Chicken Flautas

We didn't miss out on the Chips and Salsa ($3.59) and the Avocado Dip ($7.29). I had the Chicken Flautas ($8.79), served with Aqui slaw, black beans, avocado, BBQ sauce, chipotle dressing, and cotija cheese. We didn't miss on the Industrial Strength Margaritas ($8) too! The name of the drink speaks for itself. :P

3. Holder's Country Inn

If you love breakfast food (like I do), you definitely should visit Holder's Country Inn.

We both ordered omelette souffles. Omelette Souffles are four egg omelettes with jack and cheddar, served with hash browns, toast or pancakes.

Bacon and Avocado Florentine

My boyfriend got the Mushrooms with Swedish Pancakes while I got Bacon and Avocado Florentine with Buttermilk Pancakes. We also had Corned Beef Hash on the side.

Mushrooms and Swedish Pancakes

We were both impressed with our orders. The omelette souffles are generously filled with veggies and meat. The Swedish Pancakes and Buttermilk Pancakes are highly recommended. We couldn't stop eating it. The brewed coffee is refillable as well (very important for us coffee drinkers, LOL).

The service is amazing, and the prices are affordable. I would love to return here when I visit the Bay Area again.

4. Kong Tofu & BBQ Korean Cuisine

Bibimbap

We stumbled upon this Korean restaurant on our way to San Jose, where we stopped for a quick lunch. The Korean owner was really nice. Although he got the boyfie's order wrong, I was impressed with my Bibimbap, which was too huge for me to eat in one sitting.
