New Location and Amazing Dishes at Vittorio's

There are only a few places that serve delicious yet reasonably-priced steaks in Manila and one of
them is Vittorio's.

A few days ago, I went for lunch with my foodie friends at Vittorio's new home along Scout Borromeo in Quezon City.

The new Vittorio's location is more spacious and homier, where you can hold gatherings like private parties and business meetings.

While waiting for the appetizers, we had our drinks: Chocolate Milkshake (Php 120) for me, and Strawberry Milkshake (Php 120) and Pineapple Milkshake (Php 145) for my friends.

For appetizers, we were served the Chop Noodles Salad with Miso Dressing (Php 199) and the Crispy Noodles with Spicy Shrimp (Php 225).

One of my favorites in Vittorio's (aside from the steaks) is the Chop Noodles Salad. A symphony of veggies, shredded chicken, shrimp, kani, noodles on top of a bed of lettuce with miso dressing, this salad alone is a complete treat. Another highly recommended dish is the Crispy Noodles with Spicy Shrimp, where the crispy noodles serve as a base, topped with stir-fried veggies and spicy shrimp. The play on the texture and flavorful are amazing.

For pasta, we had the Clams Pasta (Php 285) and the Seafood Linguine (Php 320).

The Clams Pasta is olive oil and garlic based and served with generous amounts of clams while the Seafood Linguine is creamy tomato-based pasta with mussels, clams, shrimp, and fish. I am impressed by both dishes though I'm partial with the Clams Pasta because I love olive oil-based pasta dishes. However, my friends loved the Seafood Linguine more.

For the main dishes, we had the Fried Hainanese Chicken Rice (Php 410 for half), Rack of Ribs with Baked Potato (Php 395 for a half rack, Php 785 for full rack) and the USDA Ribeye Steak (Php 1295 for 330 grams, Php 2050 for 660 grams). The USDA Ribeye Steak is served with a choice of Fries, Steak Rice or Mashed Potato.

The Fried Hainanese Chicken was so tender and flavorful that you didn't need a sauce with it. I'm looking forward to trying the steamed version on my next visit. The Rack of Ribs isn't something you should miss at Vittorio's, the half rack is already humongous that it can be shared by 3-4 persons. The meat falls off the bone and ribs well-marinated.

The star of our meal was the USDA Ribeye Steak, cooked to perfection (and my preference, medium-rare). The meat was juicy and delicious that we emptied the plate sooner than we expected, yes, including the fat trimmings on top.

Overall, Vittorio's delivers impressive and delicious comfort dishes, aside from the steaks. The prices are reasonable, the dishes well-cooked and the portions are very generous. I would love to go back along with my friends and family to satisfy my steak cravings again.

Thanks to Vittorio's for having us.
