Stockton Place in Legaspi Village

I have a list of quaint places in Manila that I have been wanting to try, one of them is Stockton Place in Legaspi Village in Makati City.

Stockton Place was packed when we arrived, but we were lucky to score a table near the counter. Most of the guests are professionals who probably work around the area.

Since I was craving for mushroom soup, my friend and I shared a Creamy Wild Mushroom Soup (Php 285).

Creamy Wild Mushroom Soup

Served with Parmesan foam and prosciutto crisps, the flavor of the soup is dominant yet I would love it to be thicker.

For pasta, we had the Sweet Potato Tortellini (Php 350).

Sweet Potato Tortellini

The tortellini has brown butter thyme sauce, hazelnut crumble, and prosciutto crisps. I love the play on the textures and the nutty, creamy, and sweet flavors in the dish. This was easily my favorite dish on this visit.

We also had an entree, the Poached Chicken (Php 550).

Poached Chicken

The Poached Chicken is served with truffle mushroom duxelle, truffled mashed potatoes, and crisp chicken skin. I love how this dish was executed, but I still love my chicken with the skin on it.

We had one of the newest items for dessert, Chocolate! Chocolate! Chocolate! (Php 360).

This beautiful creation is dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate. Not only it is pretty to look at, but it was delicious. The sweetness and textures are of different levels, which makes a play in your palate.

I am so happy to have finally visited Stockton Place. It was definitely worth all the rave it has been given. All the dishes were carefully prepared and the taste was fantastic. Stockton Place is absolutely worth your money.

  1. We've been wanting to try it there. But, most of our dinners are spontaneous? Do we need to reserve pa talaga in advance?

    1. Hi Stacy! We just walked in, though I recommend that you reserve if you're visiting with your family. :)
