Va Bene Pasta Deli

I am a huge fan of pasta, but I only know a few restaurants who can nail a perfect made-from-scratch pasta dish. After hearing recommendations from friends, my friend and I decided to try Va Bene Pasta Deli. 

From their first location at Petron Gas Station in Dasmariñas, Va Bene has opened a more accessible location at the BGC High Street Central Cinemas, which we visited. 

We were lucky to score a seat right away, as the place wasn't quite spacious and gets packed during dinner. We were served the complimentary bruschetta with tomato dip for starters. 

For salads, we shared an Organic Arugula Salad (Php 350).

Organic Arugula Salad

The Organic Arugula is mixed with roasted onions, caramelized apples, and balsamico dressing. Though we chose to not add any protein, this salad can stand on its own. I loved the added sweetness from the caramelized apples, which balances the acidity from the balsamico dressing. 

Va Bene also serves Pizza al Taglio or Square Pizzas, which is good for 1-2 persons. We tried the Salmone (Php 230).

Salmone Pizza al Taglio

The Salmone Pizza al Taglio looks more like an open-faced sandwich than a pizza. It has mascarpone cheese, olive pesto, smoked salmon, and arugula leaves. It was amazing how simple yet delicious the flavors are in this pizza. Though I'm more of a thin-crust pizza fan, I would take this pizza anytime. 

A visit to Va Bene would not be complete without a pasta dish, so we shared one of their Pasta Lunga (Long Pasta), the Organic Eggs Tagliatelle (Php 440).

Organic Eggs Tagliatelle

One of their bestsellers, the Organic Eggs Tagliatelle has made from scratch, with Portobello mushrooms, white wine cream sauce, and truffle. I truly love truffle, and this pasta hits the spot. It is creamy, dreamy and everything I would love in a pasta. 

We were too full that we weren't able to try their desserts, but next time I will. 

I was really, really impressed with Va Bene Pasta Deli, given that I have only tried a few dishes. If you really want to try the authentic Italian dishes, Va Bene is the place that you should go to. I would love to go back and try more dishes soon.
