A Birthday Celebration at Racks

Note: As of June 2015, Racks SM Megamall has moved to 4th Level, Bridgeway

The whole family celebrated my little brother's 11th birthday at Racks last month.

Racks is a family-friendly restaurant that serves the most popular ribs in the metro. I love that they have a sizable menu which just screams that when you visit Racks, you have to try the ribs.

For starters, we had The Onion Brick (Php 245), served with spicy remoulade and barbecue sauces.

I love onion rings, and I love that it wasn't too oily, but I would appreciate it if it could be crispier.

For the kids (and me), we ordered Southern Fried Chicken (Php 660 for full, Php 380 for half), served with buttermilk biscuits and honey.

In all honesty, it was one of the best Southern-style fried chicken dishes I have tried (sorry, Chickenjoy). Each piece is huge enough for a one really hungry person. I wasn't expecting a lot but after having this, I'll surely have this again when I visit Racks.

We didn't miss out on the ribs too. We had a Full Rack of Racks Classic Pork Ribs (Php 995), served with two sides of House Mashed Potatoes and Broccoli & Cheese.

Racks Classic Pork Ribs is truly a thing of the legends, it is extremely tender and flavorful that we couldn't stop ourselves from savoring each piece. It is made better with Racks Signature Barbecue Sauce, but it can stand on its own.

We also ordered additional sides (Php 60 for regular, Php 105 for large) of Mac & Cheese and Corn on the Cob for the little girls. Of course, we needed rice to go with the ribs. hehehe. :P

I would love to try the desserts, but we were too full to bother. Maybe next time.

Overall, I was astounded that the prices were very reasonable and the dishes were ideal for sharing. Our family really had a great time at Racks, and I couldn't wait to go back for more.
