Arya Persian Restaurant

Long before I fell in love with Japanese food, I was crazy about Persian food. But honestly, looking for a decent Persian restaurant seemed difficult for me because some places I have tried before either changed the quality of their food or has closed down. I was glad Mr. B brought me to Arya, the place he claims to serve authentic Persian food.

I love the interiors of the place, and they play Persian music in the background (I couldn't stop Mr. B from singing, haha). There are also tables outside for guests who want to get shisha.

For starters, we ordered Arya Salad (Php 183, solo).

I love how generous the walnuts are in this salad. Even the solo serving is good enough for two.

I also had a Plain Yogurt Smoothie, which tasted a lot better than usual yogurt smoothies I have in other places.

For kabab, we shared a plate of Makhsus Beef (Php 392), served with Basmati Rice (add Php 20).

Of course, garlic sauce and chili sauce wouldn't be missing.

However, Mr. B explained that it's only here that he encountered mixing garlic sauce in kabab because kabab is supposedly eaten without any sauce. The kabab is tender and flavorful enough, actually, but I just can't help adding garlic sauce on it. Love it!

I was amazed that Arya really delivers delicious authentic Persian food. The service was excellent during our visit, though the prices are a bit more expensive than other Persian restaurants I've been to. Still, I will go back to this resto for my Persian food cravings.

  1. I think I have eaten there just once. I already forgot what we ordered. I think it's about time to visit it again. I miss Persian food.

  2. I haven't tried Arya, but I've been seeing it at Shangri-la Plaza! Will definitely try it soon. Prices seem pretty reasonable for the serving size, quality and authenticity. :) Btw, haven't read your other posts, but it sees you've been enjoying dates with Mr. B! Yihee! <3

  4. I'm so used to fastfood kebab that I wonder how different it is with the authentic ones. I think I found my answer here. I love the blue and red ceiling decors btw :)

  6. I didn't know that the kebabs should be eaten on their own, but I think I'm a self-confessed sauce person. I'm glad you were able to try Arya! :D
