Kuppa Roastery & Cafe

After we paid homage to modern Ilonggo cuisine with Sarsa, we drove to another Negrense restaurant: Kuppa Roastery & Cafe

As my Ilonggo friend who brought us to this place, Kuppa is one of his favorite hangouts whenever he goes home to Bacolod. Trust an Ilonggo foodie and you'll never go wrong.

While my friends are admiring the dessert display, I was ogling at this huge coffee grinder. Too bad I had to say goodbye to the lovely machine as we were seated upstairs.

My friends got Nutcracker Latte (Php 95), Iced Mocha (Php 120), and Noemi's Spanish Chocolate (Php 90).

All drinks are recommended by the staff. I went to my usual coffee (Aeropress, Php 120). Featured beans during our visit were the Blue Batak

Blue Batak originated from Sumatra, Indonesia. It has this rich aroma, bold flavor, and not acidic, which I liked.

For the desserts, we got the Blueberry Cheesecake (Php 135) and Chocolate Souffle (Php 105).

Since Kuppa is a Negrense brand, I was expecting amazing desserts. And I wasn't disappointed at all.

A visit to Kuppa wouldn't be complete if you wouldn't get Matt's Chocolate Cake (Php 130, Php 190 with gelato), Kuppa's specialty dessert that takes 20 minutes to prepare. My friend knows this by heart that it was the first thing he asked as soon as we got inside the doors of Kuppa.

Though it doesn't look impressive from the outside, Matt's Chocolate Cake oozes with hot chocolate fudge as you run your fork through it.

The coffee and dessert lover in me was really impressed with Kuppa. The prices are quite affordable and the service was excellent (kudos to the very friendly manager as well). I would love to go back to try their savory dishes next time. :)
