Mario's Sunday Lunch Buffet

Months after I last visited Mario's in Tomas Morato, a fellow foodie and I visited this lovely restaurant to try their Sunday Lunch Buffet.

The buffet spread changes every week, but the popular dishes like Mario's Caesar Salad are always present. It was unfortunate that we weren't able to try the salad during this visit, but the other items in the buffet spread make up for it.

Here are the dishes we were able to try:

Appetizers, Veggies & Pasta

Oyster Rockefeller and Cheese & Bacon Potato Skin

Assorted Sushi

I loved the Baked Corn with Pesto Butter the most that I had to get more.

More Baked Corn with Pesto Butter, with Creamy Potato and Ham & Eggplant and Ground Beef Lasagne.

Soup

Creamy Basil and Zucchini Soup. It was soothing and creamy that I wanted to get some more, but I didn't want to get too full.

Carving

Who can ignore this cutie? :)

The Cochinillo is definitely heaven!

And this,

Arroz con Almejas Y Mejillones

This paella is generously topped with clams and mussels. It was an absolute hit!

Oh messy plate

Desserts

The desserts available at that time are the Layered Cake and the Chocolate Fountain. Not bad, but I wished they served something better.

We enjoyed Mario's Sunday Lunch Buffet. I would love to go back and finally eat as much Mario's Caesar Salad, Cochinillo, and Paella as I could. :P

Mario's Lunch Buffet is from 11:00am to 2:30pm every Sunday. Buffet rates are Php 750 for adults and Php 580 for kids.
