Cukay's Mini-Ensaymada

This is one of those days that I didn't want to go anywhere because I don't have the budget, but a very good friend, A, was here in the country for a really short vacation. With less than 24-hour notice, I accepted his birthday party invite. Bad news though: I don't have a gift yet!

I passed by this mini food bazaar at Robinson's Galleria and saw Cukay's stall. I got the Dulce de Leche Ensaymada to give A. I was happy to hear that he loved the ensaymadas, so I brought home a Regular Mini Ensaymada (Php 100) and Mini-Ensaymada with Almond and Dulce de Leche (Php 120).

I was wondering why didn't I discover this earlier. I love how I can finish a piece in two bites. The dulce de leche emphasized the cheesiness and creaminess of the ensaymada instead of overwhelming it with a sugary taste. Love it better when reheated.

I enjoyed Cukay's ensaymada and I'd love to try the pastries from Cukay's. They just opened a cupcake stall at SM Megamall, but I wish they'll also sell their ensaymadas there. PLEASE??? :)

  1. I'm not a fan of a lot of cheeses, but when it comes to ensaymada, the more cheese the better! I think I'd pick these mini ensaymadas over cupcakes anytime.

  7. I've tried this before and I loved it too! I buy from Podium whenever they have the mini food fair. I discovered Cukay's with their famous Red Velvet cupcakes and I recommend you try that next! :)
