Manila Ocean Park

My family and I went to Manila Ocean Park a few months ago for some bonding time. Also, we haven't been to the place since it opened. I got vouchers from Metrodeal for us at Php 699 for 8 attractions, instead of the original price of Php 1900. The voucher is quite a steal since there are six of us.

We arrived at around lunch, so we decided to have lunch at Gerry's Grill first. Lots of other restaurants in Manila Ocean Park are Pancake House, North Park, and Makan Makan.

Here are the attractions included in our package:

1. Oceanarium - Regular Rates: Php 400 for adults, Php 350 for children

The main attraction of the Manila Ocean Park, it has an underwater tunnel where you can see lots of marine creatures, including sharks, stingray and other fishes. It can be overly crowded since people would just sit in the tunnel. Nevertheless, it's an educational and beautiful attraction, especially for the kids.

2. Jellies: Dancing Sea Fairies - Regular Rate: Php 150

Jellyfishes, jellyfishes, and more jellyfishes! I finally understood Spongebob for having a fascination with jellyfishes.

3. All-Star Bird Show - Regular Rate: Php 300

Unlike other attractions, the show runs only once a day, usually in the afternoon. It is basically a pet show for trained birds, a very entertaining show for all ages.

4. Sea Lion Show / Marine Life Habitat - Regular Rate: Php 300

A two-in-one attraction, watch the sea lions swim in their habitat and see them show off their talents. Like the All-Star Bird Show, the show runs only once a day. To check the schedule of both shows, see the time posted in the amphitheater.

5. Trails to Antarctica - Regular Rate: Php 300

A three-in-one attraction, it has Penguin Exhibit, Slide O'Fun and Snow Village. We didn't try the Slide O'Fun, which is a slide made of ice. My brother had fun seeing penguins up close and our family had a taste of how winter feels like during winter at Snow Village.

For afternoon snacks, we went to Makan Makan Asian Village. We had Milo Dinosaur, Michael Jackson, Pad Thai, and Pancit Bihon. I'd love to go back to try their Hainanese Chicken.

6. Penguin Talk Show - Regular Rate: Php 150

An interactive show with a digital penguin, I actually think this attraction is a little boring, we should have just skipped it.

7. Musical Fountain Show - Regular Rate: Php 300

The last attraction for the day was the Musical Fountain Show, which runs at 7:00PM. We were already seated at the amphitheater when it started to rain. Since the amphitheater doesn't have a roof yet, the show was canceled. Sad.

As of this writing, the deal isn't available anymore but Manila Ocean Park has promo packages for you to choose from. There are also other attractions like the Fish Spa, Glass Bottom Boatride, and many more.

Manila Ocean Park is a must-visit attraction for kids and kids-at-heart. If you like, you can also have a staycation at the Hotel H2O. I'd love to visit this place again, but maybe at its off-peak season.

  4. You got nice pics there girl especially of the jelly fish! I'd been to Manila Ocean Park once, that time though it was fairly new so aside from the tunnel and fish spa, there wasn't much to see then. Maybe I should go back and watch the Seal Lion show, also I want to experience the Trails to Antartica.

  6. Looks like they added a lot of attractions already. That's good. We went there before during its first year of operations and it looks like such a sad structure. =)

  8. We've been to Manila Ocean Park last January 26 and it was really exciting because it was our first time we enjoyed too much our tours here. But the most we enjoyed the part of the Sea Lion Show, it was a great shows and I could say that everyone there had really fun. This kind of tours are perfect for educational tours here in Philippines because I know kids will enjoy every moment there. Thanks.
