Poco Deli

PEx food club recently had dinner at Poco Deli, located at one of the newest food spots in the metro, Bgy. Kapitolyo in Pasig City.

Poco Deli is a small delicatessen serving traditional German sausage and other deli meats. They also serve wine and other dishes and desserts.

The place is quite homey, with a simple display of racks of wine and shelves of imported beers. Instead of the usual cushioned seats, they have wooden benches for a more laid-back feel. The lights are tinted with yellow (thus all the pictures are yellowish).

German Sausages, Cold Cuts, and Cheese

Our group ordered double German Sausage and Cheese Platter with Sauerkraut and Bagel Chips (Php 480), which goes well with the white wine.

German Sausage and Cheese Platter

I'm not an expert when it comes to German sausages, but I'd love to eat the whole dish. The strong flavor from the cheese slices goes well with the white wine too.

Pizza

We ordered two kinds of pizza: Quattro Formaggi (Php 330) and Prosciutto Pizza (Php 330).

Quattro Formaggi Pizza
Prosciutto Pizza
Quattro Formaggi has always been my favorite, and Poco Deli's version didn't disappoint, the same as Prosciutto Pizza. Prosciutto is thinly-sliced dry-cured ham. I love thin-crust pizzas and I loved Poco Deli's pizzas.

Pasta

Truffle Oil Pasta with Seafood

Aglio Olio Pasta
Pomodoro Pasta
We also tried their pasta: Truffle Oil Pasta with Seafood (Php 265), Aglio Olio Pasta (Php 180), and Pomodoro Pasta (Php 180). The Truffle Oil Pasta is the best! The creaminess is just right and goes well with the shrimps and squid rings. If you aren't too fond of seafood, you may opt for mushroom instead. Aglio Olio Pasta is garlic and oil pasta, something that I love forward to cook one day. I just love that it's simple yet delicious. Pomodoro Pasta has olive oil, fresh tomatoes, and basil, I liked this one too. I would not usually rave about pasta but I'm swooning over Poco Deli's pasta.

Desserts

One of the reasons I wanted to go to Poco Deli is that I want to try the Blackout Chocolate Cake (Php 130) which was included in Spot.ph's Top Ten Chocolate Cakes in Manila.

Blackout Chocolate Cake
Blackout Chocolate Cake is covered chocolate chips on top with caramel filling in the middle. It was so dense that my tummy was ready to explode but I still want to eat more. It's so delicious that you can't miss this if you're going to Poco Deli.

We also got Red Velvet Cake (Php 130) and New York Baked Cheesecake (Php 150)

My friends loved the Red Velvet Cake, which I liked too (but I'm really biased with chocolate). Surprisingly, the New York Baked Cheesecake has blueberries on it, we were expecting plain cheesecake. Nevertheless, we loved it!

Here are other pictures:

Estrella Galicia (Spain), 1906 Reserva Especial (Spain) and Hoegaarden (Belgium) at Php 180 each

I love Poco Deli! I liked the homey interiors, the food was great (each dish we tried is a thumbs up!) It is one resto that you must really, really, REALLY try!

I can't wait to get another slice of that Blackout Chocolate Cake.
